Welcome to the Philippine LGU Database!

The main purpose of this site is to gather basic information on local governments of the Philippines, from the regional to the barangay level.
Among the things that I plan to put up on this wiki are:

• 2007 POPCEN population figures for all levels
• lists, lists, lists of anything I can think of!
• locator maps
• images of heraldic and vexillological devices for provinces, cities, municipalities and barangays
• information on congressional and Sangguniang Panlalawigan districts
• information on how local governments are run

…all compiled in a handy interlinked wiki format to empower the Filipino with the information they want and need to know.

I'm still in the initial stages of building the site, and I hope to have this up by September.
